Istanbul Youth Orchestra

The Istanbul Youth Orchestra is a distinguished ensemble consisting of 55-60 conservatory students, founded in 2023 by conductor Ramis Sulu in Istanbul. The orchestra is an innovative project aimed at bringing the energy and artistic perspectives of young musicians to the world of classical music. The Istanbul Youth Orchestra strives to demonstrate that high quality in art can exist at a young age and how musicians entering the professional realm can contribute their unique visions.

The mission of the orchestra is to provide young musicians with professional orchestral experience while supporting their artistic development and bringing fresh perspectives to the classical music world. The young members of the orchestra take on the responsibility of performing well-known masterpieces of classical music, while also having the opportunity to infuse these works with their own interpretations.
